Reviving the Game. Empowering the Future.

Corners Baseball is a community-based youth program designed to give Black children in Stamford access to quality athletic opportunities in a supportive and empowering environment. We believe baseball is more than just a game—it’s a tool to teach teamwork, discipline, leadership, and resilience.

In partnership with Stamford Little League, we are working to expand access to baseball for families who have historically been left out of the sport. We also recognize the troubling decline in Black participation in baseball—only 7.2% of Major League Baseball players were Black in 2022, a steep drop from nearly 19% in the 1980s. This decline reflects deeper issues of access, cost, and representation. Corners Baseball is committed to reversing that trend.

Our program offers structured practices, competitive games, mentorship, and enriching experiences like field trips to professional games and leadership workshops. Through baseball, we nurture not only athletic skill, but also character, confidence, and a strong sense of community.

By stepping up to the plate, our players are learning to lead—on the field and in life. With support from Stamford Little League and our community, we’re reclaiming our place in America’s game and building a pipeline of talent, pride, and purpose for the next generation.
